A full time Isle of Man based Business Analyst role is available at Pacific Fund Systems.
PFS build software to manage and automate investment funds administration. We are seeking a candidate to fulfil the role of business analyst to support our global client base. The role is to provide assistance to clients including; direct user training (at our clients’ offices around the world), solving complex queries and helping to spec and test new software. Accounting knowledge is required however full training on the system will be provided. The role is varied and would be of interest to anyone looking for a fun challenging environment, where they will get to use the skills they have acquired to date, whilst expanding their knowledge in a constantly evolving industry.
This is a business relationship-oriented role and is client facing. There are currently 70+ live sites with an estimated 2000 users and approx. USD500b+ in fund assets being administered on PFS software in over 30 countries. Coordination of tasks and problem solving efforts with the PFS London, Sydney, and St Petersburg offices.
The job is located at the company’s offices in Douglas, Isle of Man and with opportunities for global travel.
The role will be a full-time permanent role 35 hours per week primarily 9am -5pm, Mon-Friday with 1 hour for lunch, however working hours to be flexible to cover different jurisdictions which will include occasional late shifts.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Primarily, at least 5 years prior experience in an accounting role, ideally professionally qualified. Experience with PFS-PAXUS and/or SQL Query, or any prior business analyst experience would be helpful but is not essential as training will be given to the candidate. The role requires a congenial personality to support and build direct client relationships. Excel skills for manipulation of large volumes of data and for excel model building using layered formula. Flexibility in working hours when urgent issues must be resolved. Ability to self-motivate, self- manage and independently organise workflows for yourself. Ability to solve problems under pressure, preference to work in a small office environment. The candidate must have an interest in IT and be willing to learn.
