Accounting and registry : Share registry transactions are entered directly to the system. The system generates and posts accounting entries to user defined general ledger accounts for share par value and premium. The system tracks the history of share registry transactions for each company and has a number of reports to meet share registry legal requirements.
Investor statements : Both contract notes and detailed investor net asset value statements can be printed, emailed or faxed. Statements can largely be customised by end users, however in some cases Pacific Fund Systems may be employed to develop custom statements. Because PFS-PAXUS contains all information on a fund in its database very detailed statements can be developed. For example trading performance for different strategies within a fund can be captured in the statements and the periodic NAV changes attributed to such strategies. The ability to provide such reports arises from having all the information on a fund in one database, instead of the multiple systems which are typically in use in most fund administrators.
Investor information : Investor contact details are maintained within the system , thus permitting generation of contract notes and statements in a variety of formats, such as letter, facsimile and e-mail for ready interface to desktop office software. Additional copies of statements can be automatically generated to an investor's advisor. In addition the system can keep track of whether due diligence has been performed on the investor and also store telephone passwords. Two different addresses can be maintained for each investor.
Series of shares consolidation : PFS-PAXUS can consolidate multiple share series into the lead series of a given fund. To initiate this the user selects the series to consolidate from a system generated list (the “source series”) and marks the target series. The system then automatically generates share registry redemption transactions in the source series and share registry issue transactions in the target series for the equivalent value, suing the applicable NAV prices for each series.
