PFS-PAXUS is a client server system. The relational database is Microsoft SQL server and the front end is developed in PowerBuilder. The server requires Microsoft Windows 2000 Server or greater. We recommend that client applications use Microsoft Windows 2000 or greater.

The system can operate across a wide area network and also via an internet connection, both subject to having adequate line speed. Most system processing is performed on the server.

Users can access the system via Microsoft ODBC (provided they have been set up with appropriate access rights) using the same id and password that they do for the client software.
